Description: It is a condition that causes to loss of central vision occuring as a result of the macula affected.
Gerekçe: Reoferez kullanılmasının arkasındaki mantık YİMD gelişimine eşlik eden risk faktörlerinin (fibrinojen, LDL, fibronektin, vWF gibi yüksek moleküler ağırlıklı moleküllerin) hasta plazmasından uzaklaştırılmasıdır. Bu durum netice olarak kan vizkozitesinin ve trombosit agregasyonunun azalması ve eritrosit membran esnekliğinin artması ile sonuçlanır. Bu da retinal pigment epitelinin perfüzyonunu iyileştirir, hipoksiyi azaltır ve retinal pigment epiteli işlevinin iyileşmesine olanak tanır.
Rationale: The reason for the use of Rheopheresis is to remove the risk factors (fibrinogen, LDL, fibronectin, molecules such as high molecular weight vWF) associated with the AMD development, from patient plasma. Consequently, this situation results with decrease in blood viscosity and platelet aggregation and increase in erythrocyte membrane flexibility. This improves the perfusion of the retinal pigment epithelium, reduces hypoxia and allows the recovery of the retinal pigment epithelium function.

Application number and/or duration: 8-10 processes which will practised two processes weekly in 8-21 weeks duration or total 10 processes that will practised 2 processes in first week and then one process weekly during 8 weeks.
